John Kelley (Jack) passed away on January 17, 2001 of Liver Cancer and
Emphysema.
Jack was cremated and his remains are in a special Vault at the Veterans
Cemetery in Sussex County, Delaware.
His family had a Memorial service for him in Wallingford, PA on June 16, 2001 by
his brother, Father Tom Kelley. Family members gathered at his other brother
Don Kelley's home in Wallingford, PA after the service to celebrate his life and
reunite the family.
Jack went to seminary school to be a priest, but at some point realized it wasn't his calling. He graduated from college and moved to California where he lived for most of his adult life, working his way up the corporate ladder to become an Insurance executive in San Francisco. When he retired he moved back east to Lewes, Delaware where he lived out the rest of his life. Uncle Jack never married or had children.
Jack served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the early 1950s.
Jack's happy disposition and intelligent philosophical discussions are
missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
